Visitor Check-In Service

We provide a low cost, non-profit, 1-step visitor self check-in service for businesses who want to use a GDPR compliant method for keeping a temporary register of visitors to their premises in line with government NHS Test & Trace guidelines.



The easing of social and economic lockdown measures following the COVID-19 outbreak is being supported by NHS Test and Trace. As of 14th September 2020 it is the law that you must keep a temporary record of your customers and visitors for 21 days, in a way that is manageable for your organisation, and assist NHS Test and Trace with requests for that data if needed. This could help contain clusters or outbreaks.

Government guidelines recommend that you ask visitors for names and telephone numbers plus other data such as dates and times. We see this as just another case of things being “seen to be done“, and as is the case with so many government guidelines does not serve any useful purpose other than to tick another politically motivated box when the promised public enquiry begins.

Our system records the unique mobile number of the lead person in a group and identifies the date and place. Any further information can then be requested from the visitor by the NHS Test and Trace team by telephone or SmS in the event that they are contacted regarding an outbreak.

Your mobile number is all we ask for and it will be held in complete confidence for 21 days, and in line with the Data Protection Act 2018 which is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The only scenario involving the disclosure of a persons mobile number would be in the case of an official request by the NHS Test & Trace service.
